Activities in the “Toyodenso "Harmony" Forest”(Moroyama Town, Saitama prefecture)

Saitama Prefecture, Moroyama Town, and Toyodenso have signed a "Saitama Prefectural Forest Development
Agreement." In a approximately 5.7 hectares town-owned forest in Moroyama Town, we are conducting forest maintenance activities such as thinning and clearing, as well as forest maintenance training experiences.

Through thinning activities, we aim to expand the space between densely packed trees, which helps the trees grow thicker and increases their carbon dioxide absorption. Additionally, by allowing light to reach the ground, we expect the emergence of diverse plant species, creating a favorable environment for both flora and fauna.

During the forest maintenance training experience, our employees and their families gather to participate in thinning activities, where they actually use saws to cut trees and pull them down with ropes.

About the "Saitama Prefectural Forest Development Agreement"

It is a system where Saitama Prefecture mediates between companies and organizations that are willing to engage in forest creation and forest owners or forest enterprises, thereby promoting forest creation in the prefecture.

Based on the agreement, Moroyama Town provides town-owned forests, and Saitama Prefecture offers support for forest creation activities and certification of forest CO2 absorption.
